Star of the Sea
By Stephanie Sideways
Your muse has designs
on the star of the sea
Feeding well from the depths of your soul
In sharp agitation
you cut off her arms
Knowing full well that they would regrow
Her voice stows away in the tide of your pen
In a shore line you let her meander
She steals from the moon, holding captive it's light
Then discretely makes way through your candour .

The starfish metaphor was wonderful and the muse in the pen a bonus, thanks Stephy!

...I like the nautical theme, imagining a bright-eyed muse in a sailor's cap...
