Human

By FearlessDragon

The soul of man is the entire universe,
His mind, a circuitry of constellations,
And his heart ... A black hole

The soul carries us through all,
It is the essence of everything,
The everlasting constant,
Our aethereal shining light

The mind is our guide along this journey,
We must be astute unto its patience,
It is the cultivater of our dreams,
The tool with which we create

The heart is what gives us meaning,
It brings us necessary burden,
It is elusive and captivating,
And violent if not respected

Our lives are but lines drawn in quicksand,
Drowning within themselves,
So precious to be embraced,
So bitter if gone to waste

We are the circle through the line of infinity,
The invisible blip on the radar of existence,
The endpoint of zero,
The most divine of contradictions!

Yet, the soul gives meaning to the gods!
Yet, the mind is our ever-faithful sage!
Yet, the heart holds the secrets of the heavens!

But to bear the gifts of these,
One must simply ...

Be.

...this is well conceived & documented. each man, as small as a dust mote, as large as a universe...

The heart doesn't seem like a black hole in this piece, more so perhaps like a railroad switch yard. Got to keep those trains going in the right direction and on schedule! Cheers FD!

I guess I meant the heart is a black hole in the sense of mystery, it is frightening, yet possesses an alluring quality.
