Life is a Strife and Death is my Pleasure

By poe_lover28

 im slowly deteriating
my airway closes im suffocating
i see stars behind my eyelids
ive dreamed of this day since i was a kid!

i know im dying
my killer has no needs for restraints, hes barely trying!
just as i fear he may have given up
i feel his fingers, my thraot they re-cup

he whispers in my ear "this is what you want"
words try to escape, only forming a grunt
death is my pleasure, life is a strife
if i could, i'd have grinned as this dark savior pulled out his knife!

i felt the pressure at the base of my throat
he presses down harder, i feel his silent gloat
i have never been so happy, a tear  escapes my eye!
other droplets follow and i begin to cry!

see my friend i have many suicide attempts behind my belt
i have never told another all the sorrows i have felt
across my throat sliced the blade
and there my bleeding body laid

well thank you, and i suppose that was the big thing in this piece, that this person was so looking forward to death that even natural instincts did not kick in

You're probably making one poor psycho very unhappy with your cooperation, shouldn't you be more considerate and at least put up a token struggle? (kidding). Usually the body's natural defense mechanisms kick-in. A very well-written and darkly disturbing piece, cheers!

thank you all so much, and Lily there is much difference in a slice and a stab but dont wish for death, embrace life first dear

  • A former member wrote: Quite a different take on death. Free verse I presume? You laid it out well. And I did rather enjoy you're taste for death in the poem.

  • A former member wrote: Loved it!! You have no idea how badly I want to die! But I´d rather get shot than stabbed.

Very dark. To not fight against a killer and welcome the murder,. is it still considered homicide? Or assistance with suicide? Oh well. Go on.
