Cupids Arrows

By Stephanie Sideways

Capturing hearts with their mystical arrows
Up in the clouds little cherubs do flutter
Playing their part in the search for new lovers
Intent on bringing the lonely together.
Dutiful Angels fly, carried by whirlwinds
Sent as from Venus herself, granting wishes
Amorous notions they hint through their strumming
Reciting sweet music, blown down through their kisses
Receiving them softly feels loves gently pulling
Opening eyes that before had been blind
Waiting in earnest for fate to end longing
Soaring hearts swoon as the the 'love struck' entwine.
