The Hunt ( A fairy tale)

By FearlessDragon

Huff Huff the harlot's breath
Weaving tales of doom and death

Against the frosty winter air
Her tender flesh completely bare

Frolic frantic through the thick
Tiny needles stab and stick

Drops of blood descend like rain
Scarlet footprints pave the way

Her icy lungs burn with exhaust
Seeking solace to defrost

The shadows bear a tiny cove
For her relief in which to stow

Blackened silence all around
Straining not to make a sound

Hiding from the cursed starlight
Praying she won't die tonight

His transformation now complete
Which once was man turns rabid beast

The monster howls into the sky
An evil moon reflects his eye

Taunting her his favorite part
Before he feasts upon her heart

The smell of fear within his grasp
He salivates a hissing rasp

The cove in sight, his thirst enraged
Prepares his lips her scrumptious taste

The depths of hell upon his face
He slowly creeps towards his prey

The night goes dead, perhaps he's passed?
This her chance to make a dash

Quickly jumping on her heels
She sets out swiftly for the hills!

One great bound towards her lair
Snatching the damsel by her hair

He throws her down with evil strength
Her naked body nearly breaks

The maiden quakes a mighty shriek
As monster man reveals his teeth

Relentless fury tears flesh and bone!

Her once green eyes become black holes.
