captivity

By Lylani

I tried to scream
But you stole my voice
Choked the breath from my lungs

I tried to cry
But you stole my tears
Turned to sand on empty beaches

Because once upon a time I tried to love
You stole my heart
Shattered it
Crushed it
disfigured beyond recognition

I tried to steal the stars out of the sky for you
But they were never enough
Fell through the cracks in your fingers
On empty floors of this prison cell they cut my toes

The scars are there for all to see

But
No more tears
No more smiles
Just silent disdain

A tear for every hrain of sand on the beach... This has the beauty of the comming tide, and the heart break of a sand castle lost. I always enjoy your posts... ^V^
