Flat line

By violetdarkness

when river's gone dry and leaves refuse to dance
that's when you realize
 it's not worth living. anymore.

so you gather the pain
because you want to be shot straight in the head. wishing
praying the sky would lament. and hoping the stars would come down and say
"wake up, it's just a dream".

but you can feel the glass. the miniature ocean lies within
the glass you're holding. and there you are. staring
down the sea of pain. there. right there
at that very moment you  know
you're awake.

but dead. because no one whispers. no one greets
even the cold winds refuse to touch your skin
and the stars and the sky
are just merely paintings.

and so. when  leaves refuse to dance
and river's gone so dry
that's when you realize
you're awake.

but you're not living. anymore.

...as nature is dying, so the victim here wishes to die...or maybe he perceives nature this way bc of his depression...

it's more of the latter. i think it's merely solitude that even the nature don't speak. thanks for dropping by to read :)
