Oh The Humanity

By rosemaiden

Time spins a treacherous web
Once you are born you are in debt

The lines in my hands
Painful strands

My heart flows through me
All my caring, everyone wants a piece

Wisdom and strength
Don't look at my life, look at the length

For anyone to survive this life
Plunged into the earth a knife

...'everyone wants a piece': that's what makes life so tough, I guess..nice job.

Very much enjoyed the contrasting metaphors in this piece and wishing it was longer, thanks, but quite nice as is actually, cheers! Especially like equating wisdom with longevity.
