Oh The Humanity
By rosemaiden
Time spins a treacherous web
Once you are born you are in debt
The lines in my hands
Painful strands
My heart
flows through me
All my caring, everyone wants a piece
Wisdom
and strength
Don't look at my life, look at the length
For
anyone to survive this life
Plunged into the earth a knife

I liked the first line the best. I like references to time as an enemy to our bodies.

Very much enjoyed the contrasting metaphors in this piece and wishing it was longer, thanks, but quite nice as is actually, cheers! Especially like equating wisdom with longevity.
