Battle Born

By rosemaiden

Bloodlust carries you beneath your feet
Leading to the pathway of deceit

You're so brave
You're so bold
Embrace the legends of old

You stared the abyss in its face
Rising up with a vengeance race

Holding up the sword to battle
Slaying the weak like helpless cattle

Till one day the flames devoured
The one whom you eternally desired

Wield your steel
Show how you feel

Condemn the lost
Receive the frost

The third stanza tripped me up a bit, but I really enjoy the oldtimey feel to any tale of swords and sorcerers, thanks for this .
