The Heart's Lamentation
By rosemaiden
The cause of this tragedy
was the sorrow in my heart
I do not know why
Stories change
Time passes by
Heart yearns for an end
To this deleterious
trend
Of pain and hatred
That I take to bed
Every
night
Even though I fight
It clings to me
Like an
unending dream
Oh heart of Mine
Why do you desire solitude?
e agony and pain
That was caused...by...you.....

"...caused by you" - assuming that "you" is a former lover (and not your heart's natural state) then perhaps this feeling was there from the beginning, and that it could not be overcome by the other "you", which lead to your rejection and dejection. In other words - we tend to blame others, to speak bluntly. Very thought provoking piece and thanks.

I agree with Jade, an easy feeling to feel but a hard one to describe. Nicely written
