Reunited

By Gray Vision

The night cries out,
I've taken a life
The life of the very one
Who held me so tight.
Here I sit and weep,
With all my might
Clouded by rage,
Impaled by spike.
Her blood glistens in the fluttering light,
Blood so warm,
I'm reliving the fight.
Embraced in deceiving arms,
Thinking it's alright.
She thought she had me fooled,
But I knew alright.
What I did was wrong
But it felt so right.
And now as it’s done
I'm sobbing despite?
I threw my love away
What's done is done
I threw my love away
What the fuck have I done?
I've been hurt to many times,
Ignored it if you might,
I've been hurt to many times,
Haven't surfaced till tonight.
Embraced once more,
For the last time if I might
Now here we both lay,
Forever bound,
Intruded by spike.

This piece was inspired by an old black & white film from which, I didn't quite catch the title.
