My lost pain

By Taunting The Reaper

Simmering delights,
divine pleasurable heights,
a basket of glory to gather your plight.
You contest bitter warnings
but you don't have a care.
Running swiftly and awake now,
you take on my quaint dare.
Dancing freely, singing softly
such a memorable tune.
Radiating like a new bride
with a wedding in June.
Don't deny you've been afflicted
with a memorable sight.
I don't own you,
I can't tame you,
but I'll dream you tonight.

If you ask me why a stranger
swings so perilously,
look around you, don't ask questions
of what's meant to be.
Your so cautious, your so careful
but I don't even mind,
taking time to undress you
of each problem I find.

If you plunder all the wealth
of those marvelous years.
You'll find a lost sailer
shipwrecked in tears.
Keep in mind when I call you
I don't ask for much.
Keep in mind that when I'm lifeless
I'm brought back with your touch.

One day when it's never the same,
when we're washed up in rain.
You'll look out the window
and call my name,
drowning in years
of my lost pain.
