...Failed Intent

I've failed you
Even more so, me
Is this what it was always to be?
So many broken lines as I read poems, divine
Curse of the beauty this darkness brings
Poems write themselves as we scream
I often wonder why we have dreams
Everything breaks it seems
Life ends for another
Someone's mother, daughter, dad, or son
A loved one

Yet the cycles never ceases
Hope always falters in the end
Our will, it bends
Sometimes breaks
A flikering candle illuninates our mistakes
To love, to want to be held
In the end is our hell
Everything dies
Crumbles to dust

Some sooner than should ever be thought
Drives our souls to rot
This is me
This is where I will be
Where I always am
The broken man

If anyone asks for a concept of nihilism I'd just point here, cheers.

Life becomes the epitome of nihilism all too often. Thank you both for your replies.
