...Antithesis of a life I dreamed

Anarchy of a mind overburdened
My thoughts darkened
Broken is my being
As the truth I am finally seeing
Life’s strife has become the knife
...Vengeance is my blanket today
Burn with me, as the darkness has swayed
Illusions of a life I could never live
For so long I did, give
Perturbance of a dream, denied
To myself I told so many lies
Upon this whetstone I sharpen thy blade
As I kill the memories I made
Burdens of a being no longer, seeing
No longer dreaming
Nightmares scorched what little hope I had left
Upon this precipice, I rest
I witness the last sunset, crest
Remembrance of a puerile dream
Destined to only bring screams
I release myself from this wounded world
My featherless wings, unfurled

This piece reminds us of a piece we read a few years ago, about living a false life. This is so much better, when we go we don't want to think we allowed someone to live our life and theirs. We want to make our own mistakes and suffer our on consequences. Tight piece Lady
