...Circuits of Cynicism

By SolApathy

Soul as dry as autumn leaves
No more do I greave
No longer burdened by this disease
Stone cold my blood no longer flows
Within
 Shed happiness and heartbreak
Every smile now—Fake
Tell me what I have lost, I won’t even flinch
This crater of emotional destitution
A fitting restitution
All the times I cried
Wanted to die inside
Laughing only to cover the pain
Now I’m free of what humanity remains
Whisper the words of love and you’ll see my calculated smile
Tell me of your pain and you’ll see my robotic tears rain
Simulating humanity’s curse
Line and verse
I’ll be the future once you all realize
My robotic responses are the perfect lie
Synapse replaced with programming grace
Surrender today and you’ll win this bitter race

Let me start off by saying what a beautiful title. Next, I have an episodic piece-series which I only have the first part of them unfortunately at the moment. I know I said it was a bad move to do earlier but here I am doing it again, it's called Madness the Mouse. I am basically the embodiment of Madness and there are so many similarities to what you have here, robotic - inhuman & feeling. Just statistical interactions from Life, Experiences & more. If you're capable of seeing passed most things; see what you think. Madness is highly self-reflective of these facets. I love your work shug, this speaks to me greatly. More than you'd believe in a flowery, buttery comment. But I try to preserve myself 100% of the time, even now. Keep this up please. Gj.

There is no god in the machine (another lie); and so we look elsewhere Sol, and we cope. Preventative maintenance will create the illusion of eternal life - until our model number becomes obsolete. Cheers! - Dan, and pass the WD-40...
