...Rendition

Into the bliss of your carnal kiss
Breath subdued
As my soul melts within you
Dire consequences envelope
As my impossible love develops
Burning away chaotic melancholy memories
I embrace your synergy as happiness blooms
Russet orbs light up the room
Bane of my past washed away at long last
I dream in kaleidoscope hues
Brought to tears by this unlikely muse
Lost in this VR love affair
Only I don’t really care
I left reality –
escaping to whom I wished to be
The person I prayed you would someday see
I no longer feel my body, weak
IV solution stops dripping as I seek
Salvation for dire wounds
This emulated world –Consumes
My last breath echoes hollow though unheard ears
You’ll find me a wasted corpse watered by your tears
Look through the VR screen and see
All I wanted was for it to be you and me…

I'm not going to lie, virtual reality is a bit of a nightmare for me; not being able to tell real from fake... not a place I want to put myself, y'know?

It's another world and your author's note is exquisitely crafted; but such dreams require a mutual participation, and that is the hard part as I'm certain we dreamers all longingly know. Cheers my friend! - Dan
