...Paradigm of a broken soul
By SolApathy
In the depths of sorrow -- I feel no
tomorrow
Light once shined bright and kind
Now burns with memories I wish I could leave behind
I lay next to the ocean, cold
My hands tease the footprints in the sand
Waiting to be washed away
…The demise of another day
As sunset fades into my nocturnal haze
Drifting in the thoughts of memories, warm
Love and affection,
This sunset scene of romantic reflection
Yet all I feel is depression
My eyes a catalyst for the torture I endure
My memories burn pure
Knowing in the end there is only one cure
Am I weak?
Are these demons, or my own thoughts that speak?
Deep in my psyche I know the thoughts are right
If only I could trace these whispers I dare not fight
Broken, bleeding
My soul
Conceding
This suicide note of my soul
Begging me to let go
I take the pills and no longer
…. Know

Always great to read your stuff. I loved how this one ended, and the shivers as I read it.

I'm glad to see you post, but this ached. It sounded like an echo.

You tagged this ``sorrow`` but in all honesty this was far beyond that ... every line/verse conveyed something unrepairable or like a point of no return ... this was deeply felt and intensely written.
