seein' double (a tribute to the real slim shady)
By molock
when i was young we were so poor
i would hide the government cheese
before my friends came over i know
how it sounds makes you wanna laugh
but it's not funny when your mom's not
around and you don't have a dad gonna
get out of here some day writin' rap lyrics
tradin' in trailer trash for fortune n fame
who's that on stage you're seein' double
test tube baby boy in a bubble when you're
dead sometimes changes seem subtle

just a white boy straight outa the ghetto
when i rap my rhymes float as they flow
my hypnotic lexiconic use of syllables always
steals the show
who's that on stage you're seein' double
test tube baby boy in a bubble when you're
dead sometimes changes seem subtle
now i make beats for the illuminati i covered
my left eye when i signed in blood on the dotted
line voices in my mind but they're not my own
sayin' i'm takin' what's mine i want your soul
in 2006 there was a car crash then a clone looks like
the monster under my bed just swallowed me whole
who's that on stage you're seein' double
test tube baby boy in a bubble when you're
dead sometimes changes seem subtle
R.I.P
Ghost Nigga
 1973 - 2006

Penultimate stanza says it all my friend Mo. Still envious of that "when you're dead, sometimes changes seem subtle". The "sometimes" is worth a big "WHOA!" - cheers for Eminem too! - Dan

thanks Dan I saw a video on youtube that suggested that Slim died in a car crash 2006 and was replaced by a clone. these days I have to get inspiration anywhere I can find it

This was clever. You can make any subject you choose sound brilliant. This was a fun read and I love how all your writes seem to have a lyrical tinge to them. Well done.

Wow. It's been at least 15 years since I've even said his name. .laughs. I'm so outta touch with news feed and media with any star or celeb. I'll stick to what I know, writing and drawing, everything else is alien to me. Great flipping piece all together. Nice structure and tone. There's a bit of word confusion above 'steel' should be 'steal' --above all, you rocked this. .bows.

I have to be honest, i'm not a huge rap fan but I came across a video that suggested that Emimen died in a car crash in 2006 then they replaced him with a double. i'm with you on the mainstream media I don't watch the news I don't even own a tv i use my computer for music reading and writing, speaking of writing thanks for the typo alert ironic I should fancy writing seeing how I think I was the worst speller in the history of my school lol. be well my dear and thanks for droppin' by - mo

Fucking brilliant tribute to Ghost Nigga that twists and turns without ever falling off the creative path. Amazing job.

thanks CJ for the positive vibe, although I like traditional rap when it come's to the genre I tend to lean more towards an alternative style - kid rock, everlast, hed pe kotton mouth kings, slightly stupid but my true love is rock guitars ever since I heard led zeppelin for the fist time. that being said I wrote this because of a video I saw that suggested Eminem died in a car crash 2006 so I kinda went with that notion. by the way my dumb ass forgot to put the chorus in when you read it, so I edited it today. anyway thanks for reading and commenting. peace - mo
