...Entropy's calm
By SolApathy
Darkness of the mind
In so I see
though I am blind
Sunrise in my days
Never kind
Took me into the world I couldn’t feel
Sensory overload
Bleeding my emotions until I was parched
Begging for a darkness
More than the absence of light
Looking confused
Never have you entered my shoes
Can’t grasp a darkness
where blackness is an afterthought
In the brightest room
I consume
All the positive energy
I am entropy
Chaos of the calm
I bring the darkness
…down
To the depths of the soul
You’ll never go
Turn back before I turn you
Black
…Too late
Infect you with darkness You can’t comprehend
So close to your end
This is where you must begin
Before you can be with us
You must become the dust that glittered in the sun
Then became
…No one

Very dramatic. I like the ending especially.

I always marveled at an entropic reaction in chemistry class when a mixture of reagents would turn a beaker frosty cold SA. I'm giving away my enthalpy but there seems to be no takers :). I always loved the James Weldon Johnson line in "The Creation" that MLK used to quote: "Darker than a thousand midnights, down in a cypress swamp". Cheers for these thoughts my friend! - Dan
