Unfamiliar colour, shocked by electric eyes

Rachmaninov dirges of my daily musings
Interrupted by neon in grayscale scene
Gasp from a mouth unaccustomed to error
And feet quite befuddled by ground’s sudden lean
Rehearsed dance of master requires no thinking
But mastery flees in the face of this grace
Astounding the weightlessness of her ballet
Technicolor vision in this muted place
She smiles so coyly I almost recoil
I glance over shoulder to check for another
I pause then look up hoping not to feel foolish
When our eyes align feel electrical shutters...

So strange
“I’m only thirty-five”?
with two lifetimes of grief
To cleave to as bride
And cling have I ever
And hold for dear life
To lives now departed
And hopes long denied
Yet suddenly from out
The hell of this prison
A beautiful woman
Jolts this mind from derision
And weightless are steps
That once were in irons
And less cold the world
Because of her smile….

To someone out there somewhere
I am offering this thank you
For a kindness yet unspoken
And a lost feeling renewed
Deep gratitude to she
From the colorful beyond
Who reminds this refugee
What it felt like to belong

``To someone out there somewhere I am offering this thank you`` ... ah, to paint such a compliment you have ... Line for line and word for word, I felt like I was witnessing poetry in motion ... Effervescence comes to mind ... ;)

That shared moment, when eye contact says so much; then topped-off with a knowing smile. The stuff of magic, when the world was young - and we remember. Nicely done A. and much enjoyed this slice of life - cheers! - Dan

solid rhythm and pacing of enamoring detail.. the grace in the first section so passionate it should whip a dead heart into jolting new hope.. then my favorite..the middle adornment crafted with patient skill shouts of classic romantic poet recapturing life in a well groomed manner..the placement of words and the many effects/well played..that pants of this selfless piece was endearing.. the elegance of ballet(thinks of the wild stravinsky) .... i really enjoyed this.. you remind me of myself in a young winter love bout...Dance on
