The Price of Survival
By LIFEINVADER
My eyes behold, what once I craved,
but every breath, my heart grew grave,
the stones I cast, now all I view,
a soul in tatters, shattered, feeling blue.
Countless stars... I've counted them all,
hopeless seas... I've watched them fall,
but in my heart, the answer's clear,
a war rages on, year after year.
In every fight, I've lost my way,
burning bridges, cast astray,
demons haunt me, I am their prey,
a prisoner, in my own mind's fray.
Guarda tu aliento, el fin está cerca,
encuentra un camino para hacerme subir,
recuerda: ¿para qué es tu vida?,
respira profundo, y fuera de la puerta.
Useless fights, I've fought them all,
burning bridges, I've crossed them all,
demons haunt my doomed soul,
I feel undone.
Save your breath, until it's over,
find a way to make me crawl,
remember: what's your life for?
Breathe in, and in the end...
it's gone.
Falling - war.
Crawling - war.
I'm falling - war.
I feel so undone...

Time like these its important to become a survivor. Some are war heroes, some die from war, and some are simply survivors. Thanks for sharing.

In the stormy seas of life, some are like ships that brave the tide, withstanding every test and strife, and emerging on the other side. Others, like delicate petals, wilt, succumbing to the winds that blast. But those who survive, they are the builders, forging a path that will outlast. Thank you for the feedback, much appreciated.
