The Daring
By Nimue44
Daunter, haunter, owner of my darkest hours,
Dark angel, cruel muse,
My one and only lover,
Tell me, once and for all,
How many songs more?
Winged awakened nightmare,
Release me, I beg you,
No more wander!
I’m spellbound, torn asunder,
By your raven sweet sound that thunders.
Because,
How to dance around the bonfire?
How to light the pyre…
And how to rise from the ashes?
Little phoenix, you called me,
But then you parted.
I had the forest, you the matches.
You once dared me to fly with you.
Well then, I dare you to return, in flesh and bone.
You brought me the darkness.
Time to harvest what you sown.

Fire and darknes, what a lovely combination, flickering shadows and gasping embers. Love it.

Oh... humans and what they're capable of... This is beautiful, your style is truly unique, how the rhythm was set, the pace, the melody... astonishing, well done, as always.
