I Want to Inspire
By Rowan
Burning with the intensity of a thousand suns,
my desire to inspire
seeps from my being.
To excite the muse of one's sleeping soul
and take a journey through the Dreamland.
Creating wonders
of passion in colors of crimson,
darkened to royal shades of everlasting
blue.
Take the straight line drawn and twist it at will,
give
it shape, texture, a life all to its own.
Speak the words of
truth from the heart,
unveil the torture
the depression
the
passion
the sorrow
the happy
the pain
the hurt
the
love
the all.
Forever holding peace is forever overrated,
a sacrifice of your breath-taking
astonishing
bewildering
captivating
beautiful
amazing
stunning
brilliant
art.
Mesh your deepest desires into a creation,
something
pure and awe-inspiring.
Take those words, those colors, those thoughts,
and create your world of dreams.
Magical in essence and striking
in form,
the piece of your soul resting for us to see.
I thank
you artists for your talented works,
and so with a rebel yell,
dance,
paint,
write,
sing,
but above all create.

Something for all the artists out there.Awards

Holy willows. Guess dozens of people got inspired with this, such as me. Hold my beer, I gotta write. P.D.: I don't drink beer but I love that phrase.

Inspiring indeed. What lead me to this poem was the very first line. I remember using it in one of my poems that I wrote long ago and the first thing I thought was, "Woah, someone out there thinks like me," lol Excellent. :D

This poem inspired me. I wrote a poem "My Lives, Your Words Defined" inspired by your writing Rowan. It's just the perfection in words I see, and how they make me feel. Each strike my emotions. I hope you enjoy it at least alittle. Your a great poet. Let no one tell you otherwise.

This really spoke to me, it reminded me why I continued writing to this day. It was initially just a form of release, but I felt alive when I wrote, the joy of creation, bringing to life a new world so as to escape from reality, a truly amazing image, thanks for sharing.

Writing about art is something I've always found a little self-analysing and detached. And here you prove me wrong - this piece is as passionate and vivid as a sonnet. And, with me, you certainly achieved your goal of inspiring the will to create!
