The Poet

By M Morgan

The Poet

he will go away! ! ! !
they say
with open palms
under the rocks

He will go away! ! ! !
They proclaim

swirling over themselves
chanting
with stretched fingers over his gold

lurking through the shadows
the indefatigable poet writes
~still~

your hands shooting words
going away
defenseless

They no nothing and try to put us in a wrong place. No. We are more than that. We are poets. We make the people think. We give beauty, hope, tears. Who else does this.

I really liked this. Even the picture how the hands are placed shows determination. Very nice piece

All the efforts, work, feelings that we, Poet, do is determination and courage. That no one has but just we. We change the word .
