She

By Stephanie Sideways

My mother once was the centre of my circle maker
My mother once was the warmth around a cold hand
My mother once was that smile on a pensive face
My mother once was the rule to run rings around
My mother once was the champion of affections
My mother got tight fitting and had to breath in
My mother is now the open window of a tamed bird
My mother will sit, locked  in the DNA of my nurtured soul
She is captured in the waterfalls cascading
She leaves brightness just as hers is fading
She is depth that's holds me highest
She is sacrifice and unselfish
She is love personified
She is proud and I am grateful.
My mother........

Almost makes me want to be a mother, nice tribute and my wife really clicks with the girls like I never will, but on a different plane maybe - great job Stephy and you are exploring some less traveled avenues, cheers!
