I left you simmering

By Stephanie Sideways

I left you simmering, surface Undulation
Mustn't boil over, refrain
A 'burn in hell' type revelation
My conscience turned off the flame

How could something barely amalgamated
Meal uneaten, Luke warm
Leave my heart this strangulated
Aching, throbbing, torn.
