Mass Cotard Delusion

By FearlessDragon

Toxic superficiality
Craving beauty
Wear your gucci shades
On a sunny day

Losing sight of yourself
Convinced it is the sun that blinds you

Artificial responses
To reality
You're playing the puppet
For the unforgiving world

Putrefying inside,
Playing tricks on your mind

Mindrot media
Makes you a slave
Independent thought
Impossible to attain

Decomposing cells
Numb your senses
Convincing you
This is what you wanted

Fake desires
Cloud your dreams
So pretty,
So plastic

Braindead,
Lifeless heart
Madness ensues
Tears you apart

Soon greed consumes
Blinded by lust
Feeding off others
Destroying for survival

Everything is not enough
Cravings turn to rabid thirst!

Emotions no longer exist
Only blood heated instinct
Kill or be inconvenienced
Rip your brothers to shreds

Carry your guts in your hand
While stealing with the other
Shattered bones protrude
Through decaying flesh

Drag your corpse
In a contorted gait
Follow the dollar signs
Drool slathers your face

Believe the lies of our leaders
They're behind ALL of this
Fulfill the brainwash agenda
Breaking you down into a crawl

Only gutturals do you muster
For they've stolen your voice
Bloodied remnants smear behind
Inching forward on your belly

Their virus deep inside
The foulest of ailments
Spinning us in circles
Creating zombie slaves

A mass cotard delusion in the making...

"Collective Subconscious" was my only Zombie poem and it focused on similar stimuli, kinda sorta - great minds think alike, but I prefer your political / societal aspects presented here - makes us easier to control, conform or else! Thanks FD!

How many of us truly know how to live outside the superficial. Such an interesting read. Much enjoyed!
