Itching a scratch

By Stephanie Sideways

It's just not the same if you do it yourself
An itch not as pleasantly scratched
If someone is kind a will lend you a hand
The relief is not easily matched

To do it yourself does get rid of the itch
But the feed back from your scratching action
Stops about fifty percent of the joy
It just serves as a pleasure distraction

The same can be said of a pampering rub
Or a soothing massage of the feet
There's no point in trying to do it yourself
So I pay through the nose for that treat

However there is one particular place
Where 'do it yourself' work out fine
Often it's quicker to sort out the niggle
And feedback is always Devine

The ending result isn't spoilt very much
Even if your wrist went to the trouble
But if someone is willing to take on the deed
The ecstasy is about double !

A slice of life that few will admit to, but sometimes you just gotta take matters in-hand, cheers Stephy!
