Separate Thinker
By FearlessDragon
Be still my thoughts,
Separate thinker leave me be!
A tiny germ on this spinning globe,
I sail through space in constant
motion
People laughing, people crying
People fighting,
people dying
Babies born, the oceans churn
Seasons bloom
and fires burn
Rising waters flood,
Tornadoes spin
with fury,
Volcanoes dust the earth with ash,
Tsunamis
rise and crash,
Earthquakes quake and crack,
Winds of acid rain,
And devastating hurricanes
Destroy all in their path!
The sun, the moon, the stars, the planets,
And galaxies yet unseen
Independent of myself
Fulfill their destinies
God and
Satan
Wage on wars
Within their hidden realms
Prophets
become gods
Through the perversion of their teachings
Past
sages are forgotten
Their shadows etched on quicksand walls
The rich get richer, the poor stay poor
Governments manipulate and
thrive!
The working man whose name is slave
Slaves on for
someone else's name
The absolute beyond our grasp
No larger
than a blade of grass
Sways timeless in the breeze
Absent
of inward conflict
Or the tiniest of ills
These all occur against
my will!
Yet, my only hindrance
Is to bid my thoughts be still
