 Neil Young ~ Down By The River}

pregnancy sobers 20 year old skin

when Neil Young guitar riffs come pouring  in

baby’s father  sways with his hand on my unborn child

wraps me in his arms, sings how madness is sorrow, eyes wild

lyrics ‘shot her dead’  drip leaving

my skin crawling as with hips he entwines

a dependent body shivers, and as always my mind

he guides into hippie blue eyes

reprograms schema to another color of sense

do I relax?

baby tumbles

guitar screams , no defense

I settle in

down by the trailer

give up warnings in my head

I'm not listening to Mama

kissing his neck

he’ll shoot your baby dead

thank you ~ funny how songs can recreate a moment felt, like ice cubes melting down your back, even if that moment was almost three decades ago . . . thank you for the read and input

...quite a remorseful scene. we can feel the lack of security & hope...

FadedBlues! the ice in our glass is always melting. at the time, it was my iceberg. wouldn't trade my daughters for any global warming climate change. i guess you just bundle the babies and wait for a thaw, and as Dwells said: "Cheers!" spot on insight. thank you so much for the read and the comment. Nice to be back.

Not quite sure what to think about the baby daddy here, something more than meets the eye and it sounds like Momma knows him best, cheers!
