The Good Ole Days

Let's journey on back
to the year 1875
To another past life
that I barely survived . . .

I rode a 3-legged horse
into a pleasant little town
I said "Howdy" to the folks
and then I gunned them all down

When the smoke cleared away
it left me a bit parched
so then Tripod and me
down Main street we marched

I was feelin' proud - so I yelled aloud . . .

"Somebody get me a goddamn whiskey !
- Nobody can get ya a goddamn whiskey
Why the hell not ?!
- Cuz ya done killed the whole town
Oh yeah, then who my talkin' to ?!
- YOURSELF !! Ya crazy sumbitch !

Then we all had a good hardy laugh
Me, the horse and the freshly dead
and we will do so forever
as they all dance in my head

Then I rode out of town backwards
to keep an eye on where I been
I wanna be surprised where I'm goin'
so I can do it all again . . .

I didn't think I was going to enjoy this after reading the first few lines but then it transformed into something I wasn't expecting and I thought it was a neat idea for a write. Nice flow throughout and descriptions you used made the reader feel like they were there. Write on!
