Blame--A Letter To My Love

By Malcholm Dark

My dearest love,

Within this realm of broken hearts
We shall gather like kings and queens.

Within this court of loneliness
We suffer unspeakable things.

Sure as the sun rises and sets, the blame will fall on me...

And you may blame me for all the pain you've endured
That's okay, displeasure and pain are my forte.

Now, too much time has passed us by
And our story comes to an end.

Now, you have caught the last train out
And broken hearts may never mend.

Sure as the stars come out at night, the blame will fall on me...

And you may blame me for the way things ended
That's okay, the end seemed inevitable.

And you may blame me for the Mount ST. Helen's disaster
That's okay, volcanic eruptions are a part of me.

And you may blame me for the JFK assassination
That's okay, I killed our love from the grassy knoll.

And you may blame me for the sinking of the Titanic
That's okay, sometimes I am one cold iceberg.

And now, the final twelve words of this letter
The only twelve words that truly matter...

I was wrong
I am sorry
I love you
Please forgive me.

P.S.
If you can find some forgiveness
Within that broken heart of yours.

Pease return my cat you took

You thieving bitch!!!

Forever yours,
Malcholm Dark
Bereaved cat owner.

Oh, Malcholm, you are, as always a delight. Sometimes women are ruthless and can't help but place all the blame on someone else because they can't accept their own flaws. Truly a delight sir.

A pussy pilfered! Scratch her eyes out - and then read my "Invisible" that I channeled you into greatness. Develish calls this "whoring my poetry" and she is right - but some are shameless. Don't be a stranger; your the best!

"That's OK, I killed our love from the grassy knoll." The shot heard round the world, the assassination of Cupid. Why do they always have to take the cat? Can't they leave the pussy alone? Nicely written my friend, although it's a bit eerie that you included the Titanic and I just read an article about it beforehand. Scholar
