the cemetery
By BrokenAngel
cool marble against my palm
tracing the etched name
beneath my fingertips
i feel a sense of peace
_____serenity_____
hiding in a bush
a tombstone
a forgotten monument
to the life of a loved one
reminding me
we all will be
____forgotten_____
its a harsh comfort
we all die
all fade to dust
but in the end
we're all together
____forever_____

As stated by Aleas, this is very deserving of comments. The concept is quite simple but coloured so beautifully. I hope very much that the end is how you say. Lovely piece :-)

Pretty positive message. Which, suffice to say, is surprising! Not all of us are forgotten, and ultimately, its up to us as to whether we stand alone and "fade to dust", or remain eternal, in the hearts and minds of generations, our bust somewhere classical as a reminder of how things were and what we stood for, what we loved and how we loved back. And more thoughts follow. This is deserving of more comments and kudos. But alas, such is this website.
