Along the Way.

By Aleas

Along the way we find we're left
With only one Who
And given no why's, we thirst
For sorrows unbounded felt here and now
Will soon be eclipsed on the final tomorrow that came today
With peace of mind so endearing
It may cause tears
That when wiped away
Reveal your reason, your why, and remove all fear

Along the way we find that
With the sway of the tides
Caused by the nights eye
Although at times closed or half asleep as she may
Will wash away even the analogies that say
"Tomorrow will bring a better day"
And this won't soak in a beautiful waste

Along the way we find paths crossed
Hardly given a second thought
If even graced by a first
If only given one by chance
And by chance, should the opportunity be seized
May end up as pleasant as an autumn breeze
And so two paths crossed
Probably thinking the same, but if not
Would you stand idle as he drifts along the way?

I just don't feel worthy enough to comment. My brain is still soaking it in and it's quite liberating. Scholar

Excellent flow and excellent content. I enjoyed following your thought process and how it built up a nervousness that at the end was shattered with a simple question. Very nicely done.

I agree fully every person you meet on your path, taking you where you're meant to be, is a person that was meant to be there at that moment in time for reasons we may never know.
