Motherless Child

By Taunting The Reaper

Slumbering thoughts has bought
the wars we've fought.
Simian dreams by any means
we haven't learned what was taught.
Silly goose minds,
crocodile tears,
a shame we can't find what we've lost.
Warm hearted smiles linger for a while,
and a cold heart will die in the frost.

Sanity spins a warm fuzzy blanket
whose threads are made up of lies.
A mother survives
like a cat with nine lives,
and she gets to cry
as another child dies.
Who gets to choose why?

Slaughter awaits,
it's a terrible fate,
rolling the dice your a winner!
A choice has been made
to sleep in the shade,
any god that creates is a sinner.
Condemning thoughts,
blaming was lost,
an easier life meant to be.
A cowardly act of timeless impact,
an angel that now will fly free.

Swimming in tears for countless years,
a memory in a single tear drop.
Forgeting past,
it catches up fast,
a song that won't ever stop.
Dancing in sin,
barren within,
each lie will follow another.
Regreting soon,
with each full moon,
a child was lost to a mother.

Sometimes I feel like a motherless child. A long long way from home. Adore it.

I am beside myself. " Any God that creates is a sinner" HOLY SHIT! Its so true. We blame the Omni-God for evil. You say so much in consise, profound lines. It sparks the mind to fire most deffinatly!

  • A former member wrote: "any god that creates is a sinner" this had a wonderful rhyme scheme to it, brimming with truths...welcome!
