  • "This is so very pretty. The meter is significant all through the ins and outs and really adds a sense of magic that is hidden yet so tangible. My father was my pride and my foundation for most of my life, my mom never being in the picture. It is little moments like these that make me remember the times past we had, the times that we watched each other grow. Thank you for this tribute. Love light and happiness~"

  • "Ah, it is too bad you didn't get to read the poetry I had up a few months ago. A lot of my writing was much darker then. I am still penning things of the darker variety, however I have started a search for myself that has transcended light and dark and has shown me that one must embrace both to live a life good enough to call well lived. Haha. Thank you so much for posting. I really do appreciate it."

  • "I have to say I rather enjoyed myself here. xD And I think I'm going to take a quote of yours for personal use- 'I would say that people like you make me projectile vomit, but I doubt you're capable of something that cool.' Yeah I like you. Thanks for the smile today ahaha. Cheers!~"

  • "Although I agree that many poems seem to drag on when they get lengthy, usually mine get long because I have so much important detail that I can't possibly boil it down without losing the heart and soul of the poem. I try to simmer it, but sometimes you just have to go with length. Thanks for the time invested here, I really appreciate it!"

  • "This is beautifully written, I'm torn in so many directions I can't even keep my thoughts straight trying to comment. This is tragic and sorrowful and the death of a person and the life that grows like a weed between the cracks, which is wonderful and harrowing and sad all at the same time. Welcome to Dark Poetry, dearie, I think you will fit in just fine around here. ~Cheers love~"

  • "Very powerful poem you have here! It hits real close to home for me, too. Seems like I could be that very child, broken and wanting nothing more but love and happiness that never came. Wonderful job! Welcome to DP, I hope you have a nice long stay with us :)"

  • "Wow. "Hope is what you make/ And prosperity is what forsakes/ Thankfulness is what you take/ But the fuel for the fire is what's at stake." That set, man. That speaks loud. GREAT job everyone! I couldn't expect anything less from such wonderful minds! Thanks for sharing! -hugs-"

  • "Often times we find that the darkness around us bares no hope of the future because we cannot yet see it. Keep your chin up, there is always a light to be found. -hugs- Thanks for posting!"

  • "This poem agonizes and bleeds a story all on it's own. This is the broken poetry that appeals to me. The last lines inspired a hope of sorts. It describes a dejected and demoralized picture of the faniful and perfect ones we make for others. It can be hard finding out that the ones we have fallen so far for don't realize or don't share the love that we give out. Enjoyed most thuroughly. Thanks for the post, and welcome to DP!"
