  • "Might as well err on the side of eternity, but then too a long life in this temporal world can seem like an eternity too! Cheers, and much enjoyed the philosophical metaphor."

  • "A personal baptism of sorts, we forget our places in the food chain sometimes until reminded by an angry Mother, cheers! Very peaceful and satisfying, thanks Jess!"

  • "When they start to repeat themselves, run like hell! I know the feeling, and they only mean well, in their perfect world or rules, regulations, and misery. Cheers Jess!"

  • "Wonder who was clipping those angel wings anyway? Interesting take on the moon's light being exhausted eventually, as though it needed a re-charge perhaps. Much enjoyed and here's a silver bullet, cheers!"

  • "We all have a pure spirit, before the world intruded and stained us indelibly, great job on expressing that duality, cheers Jess!"

  • "Sheesh! You really shouldn't have used that grease gun! This piece was very impactful and released a flood of pent-up emotions. Did you ever hear the one about the pig with a cork in its behind and the mischievous monkey? Cheers Jess and I can't stop smiling!"

  • "You speak for many with eloquence and extravagance on occasion, and that is why you are treasured, cheers!"

  • "Just catching up today and this was epic! I had to look up that "rhyparography" word - a new one for me yet so meaningful in context. Much enjoyed the intellectual vitriol, thanks Jess!"

  • "The only fresh air some get is their flatulence - hey maybe that's why they only eat beans, and brussel sprouts, and cabbage! (sounds like a Vegan to me) - cheers and you just keep getting better!"

  • "I've stuck pins in a few butterflies and moths (dead ones) and dissected a cat in comparative anatomy class too! My reward was a B+ and a case of formaldehyde pneumonia from all the hovering and probing. Fried chicken gizzards and hearts are the best (don't like the livers, nasty). Where was I? - I think I just had a KFC and college flashback! Morticians have all the fun I'd guess (Haunted would know) - really enjoyed this piece if a bit too much Jess, cheers! "

  • "Kitties were my first pets, then doggies, wives, and daughters came along. I need to go back to the beginning, someday. Kitties were always affectionate and never demanding - cheers!"

  • "Tell the pudwhackers that the thrill is gone and you are off to see the wizard! Some people will seep fluids at almost any occasion on the universal view-a-tron we call our one-eyed monsters. Big Brother has an eye on you - as do I - cheers DK!"

  • "Very feline indeed, but never roll your head as any chiropracter will tell you. This visual image was a memorable one and softly sensual, thanks."

  • "Going fishing myself this morning. Saw the electric eels on River Monsters last week, but this sounds to me like maybe electro-shock therapy slang? Catching just a hint of meaning from each line as the momentum picked me up and carried me along, what a rush! Thanks DK, one of your best!"

  • "Gotta show them who's boss, and stake out your territory as a primary carnivore - well said. Loved the dog's (or maybe coyote's) eye view, thanks DK!"

  • "We all have our vices and ejection seats built into mundane lives we lead, and every now and then you just gotta bail out, cheers!"

  • "Hear no evil, see no evil goes both ways I'd guess - maybe hear no good, see no good, but with religious intonations and your shoulder tatoo maybe? HMmm. That only leaves "speak no evil" but I'm probably over-working the piece. Cheers DK."

  • "Aw DK and I thought for a very brief bit that this was about me (HA!) - anyways, live in hope and die in despair they say. Softly serene and your san paku picture does you an injustice I'm sure. Meanwhile, your literary / poetic skills are indeed marvelous and leaves one wanting more of you gift, cheers lady!"

Also - at my peril (I used to do likewise) - click on the reply button on a comment, rather than on the work "comment" hot spot. That way your comment to a comment will go underneath the intended original comment - keep things better organized about who said what to whom, thanks DK!"

  • "Spoken like a true predator, but then the soft underbelly comes into play, and the spurting fountains betray (HA!). Well done lady and where are all the comments because this was vintage DP? "

  • "What's in a name, or number, and pondering the difference. Guessing he's being picked up at pre-school maybe, regardless - a well told tale and someday we'll all be numbers."
