Who I am

I will not
be hushed
Speaking is
a must
I'll take you
on a trip
you would
hesitate
to go on
in your "normal"
state of mind
but your world is white
and colorless
Lacking every shade
and emotion
as well as
sense of direction
So I speak
and take you
where I am
where I was
and where I want to be
Scene by scene
Into my dreams
Into the feel
The stinging pain
of numbness
Sheltering my brain
Bleeding
my blood red
hardened heart
out in the pouring rain
Down on my knees
pulling my hair
hysterically crying
and going insane
I paint those pictures
with the darkest of shades
in which are the truest
of most of my days
and I let you peek
Momentarily
so you have a slight understanding
of where I come from
Where I stand
How I think
and who I am

I haven't had a life of balance just yet. The bad, miserable part has outweighed the good & I have definitely lived colorfully, in timeless moments, but most of it has been smudged, darkened & scribbled upon. I've seen alot, heard alot, read alot & done alot, but i'm hoping...maybe, just maybe...one day, things will be a whole lot better than they have & in turn can find the brighter side to balance it all out.
