A Simple Hello

By unspeakable truth

As I breath in this day, gratefully
I exhale soft whispers
Hoping the breeze picks them up
Deposits them at your doorstep
So you can open the door and trip over them
Heading out for a smoke
In a myriad of some choice words
To smile and realize, I got you

My mind wandering, missing you
The reasons spanned through so much
Yet it is what free means
( you understand that, don’t you )
You had this key that helped to open
And I am not sure why

I want to scream from atop the mountain
As the glaring sunshine burns my eyes
I hate you
With a twinkling like the stars you see as diamond bits each night
I love you

I could share, but I honestly have nothing really to say
Could ask, but the questions all faded as time moved
But I think what this is mostly is that I need to show
What you had a hand in helping to create

Thankful wrapped hugs
For providing the clean sheets of paper
I use as wings to fly

This is spectacular, darling. Powerful and insanely wistful at the same time. Reminds me of how I blow a kiss every night in the direction of Home, hoping someone grabs them up and holds them tight, remembering me and missing me.
