The Rope Charmers

The ropes to the stars are bruised by
dreamers
They blended blue against the sky unseen
Within empyrean womb they convene
To plan annihilation of their captors.
Long have they composed songs of Rope Charmers
Insanity alone became vaccine
Their Ship of Dreams on Reason's edge careen
Unfettered from their decay cancerous.
But the turbaned villains of earthen doom
Played a terrible tune thus awoken
Rising serpents from their bellies abloom
Behold! Dream-devouring leviathan
The tragic folly of sought for freedom
Ended in a thrice in screaming anthem.
