A Girl,
By A Life Without You
.
She cut up pieces of
her heart
...and gave them
To the only people she knew
...would save them
I said,
"you can sleep right here within these arms,
And when you awake,
you can tell me the story's,
of all the things you've misplaced''
.
.
.
.
.
...''along the
way.''
.
..
...
A girl,
observing life rather than living it
Making an already difficult journey
somewhat precarious
She was a broken marble birdbath
Lying half hidden in tall dry grass
A door,
held shut
from the inside
She tried her
best to press through,
Though
stopped short
For she then realized...
it was her grip, that was slipping
...on the other side

I really like this metaphor "She was a broken marble birdbath
Lying half hidden in tall dry grass" Seems to add a very profound, artistic light to it.
