days that just don't move

By swing_the_hammer

saltwater, sad daughter words hurt, silence worse
i'm bored, ignored oh, lord- gone overboard
drink more, think less grab a notebook and confess
paper, pen closest friend- the heart you lend is hard to mend...

i digress, i did my best
with the cards that i was dealt
but i can't speak for all the rest,
the aces in Orion's belt

sweetwater, sadhoney go to work, make money
feel like shit, but i forget- i'm on empty where they left me
streetside, so wide the gap between the loved and lied to
in the end, we love again- but the heart we mend is hard to lend...

i'm gonna miss you if i kiss you
you make me feel i'm not alone
i don't think i can resist you
i might want you for my own

sadwater, sweet daughter in deep, need sleep
heartsleeve, all hallow's eve- i don't think i'll want to leave
good night, sad girl- "I'd give anything in the world
to sleep tight," i sighed, "and have my sweet dreams at your side..."

Loved the flow, and the way the rhymes had me thinking of PJ Harvey's lyrics - Top stuff!
