SCARS

By suicidalsecrecy

Seal the wound and keep the scar
They’re always there
They don’t go far
The wound has healed
But the pain is there
In the heart it doesn’t go anywhere
26 stitches all in one line
A fit of rage not the first time
The scar remains
But the wound in the heart has not healed
They’re there to remind me that my suffering is real
I cut and burn to try to feel
Try to bleed to stop the numbness
Feel the pressure to change
But it will be useless

this poem reminded me of the song Made Of Scars by Stone Sour. i think many members on this site have scares and where some wear them proudly as an accomplishment to what they survived and others do not. nice write, im sure it touched more people than me.

I have many scars- not even the cream can fix. This was a very sharp piercing to the heart. Wonderful write.
