Bone Fragments and Broken Glass
By Lady Grinning Soul
It was all in his eyes,
and I couldn’t help but swallow this venom,
choking upon frag.ments of
Bones and
broken glass.
They hold me dear
And
lie with every word,
and I grew to (love) hate the
way his hands fit on the
Sides of my hip and
round
my neck like a choker collar that
some fourteen year old goth girl threw out.
And these bones are
scattered upon my bedroom floor.
Ablaze, incinerated like his
lips on my (secret spot) forehead.
Arpeggio heartbeats in G minor,
I’ve never said it better then when I was
with you that night, and I don’t mind the
Blood
pitter pattering down the drain like raindrops,
and I’ve always found the taste of it kind of sexy.......
Its all splattered on the bathroom mirror
where you stood when you told me
you loved me (you lied.)
A message,
a melody, a verse of failure,
misery never tasted so sweet as
it did while I
dug it out of the corner of this icecream box.
It’s mint flavored, with little chunks of chocolate thrown in to tease.
Their just scrawled out
scribbled and heartless,
paperthin
Etched in black ink and left to die.
Crescendo.
Let our voices become one,
become something whole.
It spreads
throughout my
veins
and into my lungs. Its hard to
breathe.
Pounding on every closet door
to be let in. Let out.
Left out.
I want to be let in.
Your voice can be so cruel,
please.dont.stop.
Look at me,
its in your eyes I swear,
this venom.
Its making my throat close
almost like an allergic reaction.....
Cant breathe, please don’t stop singing.
Decrescendo..... end
