my tragedy [lies] in numbers
By BeautifulCalamity
The ocean whistles by,
drives in cold waves & hot.
Seaweed scrapes along my limbs..
my limbs,
hear me?
I lay on top of you- or the ground you walk upon..
and no moment has ever felt as pretty as
the sun sinking into my skin, my body
[once again]
A torn flesh knee, burnt by the sand.
water playing motion like your hands..
your hands on me,
I don't mind.
I drew perfectly from ugly fingertips 'I love you'
to the tide
..
So that it'd be washed away and somehow carried to you..
like perfume on paper, my love. tender love.
And back to 54' I read-
to purchase cheap quotations and stencil them
into your wrist
cause you seem entangled in my vocabulary..
You see darling,
my face is read- straight off of paper.
my hair white,
stained as I hang upside down..
allow my bleeding heart to drip.
do you want me?
I sang my way into the city,
and felt blissfully carefree-
as senseless as the sign language I construct for you today..
She cried, I mumbled 'pay attention to the road'
Have you some glue?
some glue to/some glue too..
My days at the water were perfection cut fine
uninterrupted, black sand below the crystals,
silk fingers in silk hair.
I could crawl off despairingly into a sandcastle-chapel,
allow myself wed-to die. to be inside of you.
It's love, it saves you.[period].
bea.uti.fu.l
and yesterday I met a child that blew me soft kisses,
soft kisses from a fragile hand..
I blushed, I kissed back. I only kissed back.
your innocence is perfect,
as perfect as...
cut & paste sentences,
stars sewn into eyelids.
sunglasses too retro to wear..
oh, breathe
blonde hair,
crushed-ice cheesecake.
summer begins and ends..
oh, please
museum wanderers,
looking for some old relic..
old pieces of themselves,
or another
...
the past
black circled eyes and beaded bracelets..
too many colors, cheap colors.
but beautiful on my skin
is here
stolen hearts and moneyless wallets,
wasted cocaine in a vial.
[romeo & juliet poison]
thrown to the lovers,
met at the hands of children
.a bladeless knife.
you tease
glittering artist faces,
rendezvous never met.
shimmering on in music,
throughout every note
devoted,
to be so devoted
drowned in an empty attic,
I will age. I will rust.
my tragedy lies in numbers,
unless I find someway to keep myself alive.
I knew you somewhere in 54',
as "King Soloman loved many strange women"
here you are..
Stranded desert antics,
random acts of kindness..
daily we focus on others,
on ourselves.
strike that, strike that.
cross eyed doll for a cross eyed girl..
poetry that isn't poetry
but fractured ribs that could be
fiend.fuck
grin wide with amazement,
my words are strong and weak at the same time..
all for you
pull me into hot water,
turn me on in the bath
burn me, turn me
torture me
[fucking tonight]
I'll keep my fingers crossed,
I'll keep my heart crossed
. . .
'He was seen on his knees praying'
for recollection of my tongue on your neck
dance rotten- ripe for all the positions I speak,
I miss you.
In this sign is my hope,
black pearls and pink metal
Let's be dolls tonight,
doll
.
"In hoc signo spes mea"
cross-legged prayer
