poetic memory
By swing_the_hammer
Today I think I'll...
throw myself down the stairs.
Sometimes, gravity is just
another thing to defy.
We all want to know,
"who am i?"
the walls answer with a sigh.
"you are, you are,
you are lovely as you go
flying by."
Today I realized-
how much a heart can truly hurt
before it breaks
and at night, I dream about
your face and earthquakes
my eyes flutter, my hand shakes
I tremble when I wake.
I tremble in your wake.
I know that I am dying but
I did it for your sake.
Today I think I'll...
pretend I don't miss you
say that I won't cry, or care.
but you will never be around
and I will never be all right
well, life is never fair.
so today I think I'll...
throw myself down the stairs.
-we made a wrong turn somewhere,
perhaps when we went our separate ways.-

describes love, a lost love it seems, it was exceptionally good around the center stanzas

Excellent write! I love the first stanze in particular, but this both glides and suckerpunches throughout. Extremely well constructed also. *applauds*
