Nihilism at my core
The world for years, I explored
Searching for meaning
Dreaming
I found what I thought was meaning
Life with her was a blur
Happiest days of my life they were
Until it wasn’t
Disease decimated the dream, the time
Life stopped as I knew I couldn’t rewind
Pessimistic views soon ensued
Entwined were mimesis and verisimilitude
Juxtposition of realization and regret
Life was not done with me just yet
Days darkened as dusk took hold
As my whole world did unfold
Into nihilism I drift
A wicked kiss of futility danced upon my lips
I whisper that nothingness is all that truly exists
