In this Dress, You forever rest

…As the encompassing dark has come
Enveloping me, even under the sun
Despair of choking air
Beckons sorrowful stares
Hollow words spill from my soul
As these words I speak barely echo the toll
I tremble as tears crest
Dropping on the now ink-stained paper of my distress
I look to you in repose, in that dress
Knowing I will never be able to again, caress
My emotional tsunami of phantasmagoria wanderings
As I now lay upon this bathroom floor, pondering
Pills of your recent fatal ills
Torment me as the alcohol spills
Tears have all but stopped as I rock
These pills, should I pop?
Just for these feeling to stop
Don’t want to face the world without you
Everything once of beauty, now dark hues
Sweetness of the sunset, now a haunting blue
I close my eyes imaging us one last time
X-acto knife- silent screams of blood, pantomime
Angels of razorblade wings, sing
Cutting through the darkness these thoughts bring
A prevailing wind of hope
Whispering winds of your last words to help me cope
