...In between the silence of my screams
By SolApathy
In the in-between of screams I will
show you the serene
Tranquil moments as the water over our toes, flows
In the serenade of silence where no beats of the clock fall
I will dream of it all
I promise if you stay, you’ll never fall
Our backs will never be against a wall
Living under sunset serenades
Nighttime escapades of dreams we never dared
As sandcastle dreams, we enjoy-- never scared
In this moment in-between I will whisper my desires
As we light this scintillating fire
Movie screen melody of a safe place we could hide away
Keeping the demons outside these moments at bay
Alas I know this moment will not forever, last
Metronome melody wakes me from the past
Moments move in unison, fighting my grasp
I feel the sand slipping from my toes
I look to her eyes and she knows
She is but a figment of a once elaborate dream
Fading into the darkness as again I scream
Tranquil moments as the water over our toes, flows
In the serenade of silence where no beats of the clock fall
I will dream of it all
I promise if you stay, you’ll never fall
Our backs will never be against a wall
Living under sunset serenades
Nighttime escapades of dreams we never dared
As sandcastle dreams, we enjoy-- never scared
In this moment in-between I will whisper my desires
As we light this scintillating fire
Movie screen melody of a safe place we could hide away
Keeping the demons outside these moments at bay
Alas I know this moment will not forever, last
Metronome melody wakes me from the past
Moments move in unison, fighting my grasp
I feel the sand slipping from my toes
I look to her eyes and she knows
She is but a figment of a once elaborate dream
Fading into the darkness as again I scream
