In the dire remembrance of a life of bile and spite
I cried finally, tonight
Human for just a slice of a second
My scorched humanity was beckoned
It’s not because I’m at my end
It’s not my fear of a life I didn’t spend
Can’t really fathom a reason for this lone tear
There is nothing I fear
Perhaps just a psychological tick
Of a human who can’t be fixed
I treat these final moments with disdain
Imagined going out in flames
Burning the bridges I should have never built
Walking through the blood I’ve spilt
Screams of those I’ve wronged
Echoing out a somber song
Here I am in a silent grave
Lost to the darkness from which they never tried to save
